"A wonderful and unique Racer- a solid GameCube launch game!"

5 years ago, I played a wonderful game called ''Wave Race: Blue Storm.'' That game was a unique racing game, differing from Sony's Gran Turismo and Sega's Daytona USA. Wave Race involved racing in water on jet skis as you race the night away! Wave Race Blue Storm is worth every penny of my $50. Come GameCube launch, grab this masterpiece!

GRAPHICS: 10
This game shows off the early powers of the GameCube! Wave Race Blue Storm is a clear, sharp and visually stunning game. The 3D rendered worlds look much better than other racing games available on PS2 and Dreamcast, especially for a GameCube launch game.

The water looks so great and realisitc, with a great blue color scheme. Great job, Nintendo!

GAMEPLAY: 9
You race around 8 realistic courses. It isn't just the same courses everytime. The weather can change, so the courses can become from easy to hard! Blue Storms can affect the current current in the water, changing the course significantly.

CONTROLS: 10
The comfort of the GameCube controller makes this a 10. The button layout is perfect! Nothing out of place or uncomfortable! The GameCube controller fits into your hand VERY well, which makes the experience remembering! Perfection... ONLY ON NINTENDO GAMECUBE!

STORY: 0
There isn't any story... You just race around the 8 courses of realism available to you in this package. No biggy. Racing games never have stories, except for Grand Theft Auto and Konami Krazy Racers.

SOUND: 10
The sound of the courses gives a refreshing sound to the ear. The sound flows smoothly along with the courses, which is really, very nice to hear. The scores are well done, and original.

TECHNICAL ACHEIVEMENT: 10
While this game does not seem revolutionary, it looks better than many games on the PlayStation, Dreamcast and even the XBOX.

Nintendo wasn't kidding about GameCube's ease of development- this game is a masterpiece by Nintendo.

OVERALL: 9
Getting a GameCube at launch and you want a racing game? Wave Race Blue Storm is the perfect game graphically and gameplay wise. A very solid title.

FINAL COMMENTS:
Although this is a wonderful and solid title, it is only an upgrade of the Nintendo 64 version. That by no means warrants it unpurchaseable, but if you have played the N64 version, you might want another launch game for GameCube. But I highly suggest you get this game at launch if you can get 2 or 3 games or more!
