"Thank god, they upgraded the Attitude Engine. If they hadn't, this would of sucked."

Normally, an Acclaim Wrestling game equals this-game-sucks, but they upgraded the engine used from the past and now this game is actually quite good. The good thing is, unlike other WWF and WCW games where you quit playing cause it's too out of date, you won't need to. All of these wrestlers are retired and finished. This is a great game. It sucks that their aren't any special modes like Ladder Matches, Tornado Tags, and more. I only wish their were more modes. Finishers aren't that hard to do either. Trust me, even if you hated Warzone and Attitude, play this game. This game has a much better engine then those two games did. Read more below.

Story - N/A
What story? You wrestle. You kick the crap out of your opponent. You win by submission or pinfall. Win the championships. Be the best!

Graphics - 8/10
Very smooth graphics. The weapons look great. The animations are awesome! And the blood dripping is cool. Expecally when it stains the mat!

Sound - 6/10
Ok, this game is a little odd in sound. All of the wreslters' music are there from the past. They all sound like MIDIs though, which mean not as digital as Smackdown's. The grunts from attacks are weird, and comic-book sounding punches are just plain weird.

Control/Gameplay - 7/10
Takes a while to figure out, but when you do, you will be beatin down legends left and right. Nice counter system too, though a little hard to explain.

Difficulty - 8/10
The opponents are just right when it comes to difficulty. Not too hard, not too easy. They reverse moves, you gotta reverse their moves.

Overall - 7/10
Great wrestling game. Featuring Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Koko B. Ware, and more. Its lacking some legends though, like Rowdy Ridey Piper, Andre the Giant, and Owen Hart, but it's still a great game. You can just create those guys. I do find it weird Rob Van Dam is in this game, no complaing though. The Create a Legend mode is cool. You can go to the Create a Stencil mode to create your own logo for your legend. This game is just lacking some game modes too. Overall, great game. I recommend it to any present or past wrestling fan with a GameCube or a Playstation 2.
