Legends of Wrestling
Review by BilboStraubIsBack
"A great game, and in my mind it's better than the Smack Down seris"
Okay here goes, I went to my local Wal-Mart in search of a new game(I just beat my former game), well I was looking around on the shelf and didn't see much. But then I saw it, the game I waited for so long. Do you know what I saw, I saw LEGENDS OF WRESTLING.
Graphics=When I first saw the graphics I thought to myself, these graphics are perfect for this kind of game. When you first see the graphics you'll figure out that the graphics are cartoony(which they are). But if you ever watched wrestling in the 1980's you'll know that it was very cartoony, that is why I think that they made them like that. All in all thier pretty good, but sometimes they can get a little jagged. But if you like the gameplay(like I do) you should be able to get over that. SCORE=8
Sound=To me sound is not the most important thing in a game, to some people it might be. The music in the game is not bad. But once you play it for about 50+ hours(like me) it gets a little repetitive. But it's not the worst sound I've ever seen. One thing that would have helped the sound score would be comentary, I think it's the most important part of the sound score in a wrestling game. The sound effects aren't the greatest but you can here them good and the wrestlers entrance music isn't that bad.so for all those reason's. SCORE=8
Options=Options are pretty important in a wrestling game. By options I really mean types of matches and wrestler selection. Personally I think that the types of matches they chose for a wrestling game that was supposed to take place in the 1980's was perfect, many people complain that their arn't modern day matches in it like hard core matches, but what you have to realize that they didn't have those matches back then. They also have the option to have blood which is something most wrestling games don't have. The selection of wrestlers you can have is also close to perfect, although you have to unlock some once you have them ll it's a great selection. Although a few big names have been left out it's still a good selection. SCORE=9
Story=Well it's a wrestling game so it really doesn't have a story so I'll just talk about the career mode. Personally I think it's the best career mode I've ever played, you start out in one of the five wrestling teritories in the US. Once you win the belt by getting 100% popularity in that teritorie you go on to the next, Once you win a belt in all five teritories you go on to the world. Once you get into it it's very fun, and very addictive. The first week I got it I played it non-stop. SCORE=10
Gameplay=The gameplay is very easy once you get used to it. The people at Capcom have created a system called Intermedeate Start Position(ISP). To do a move is very easy and it's also very easy to pick up a weapon. You have to bring down two meters until their empty then you try to pin, or you could just keep doing moves to them and win by K.O.. All in all the gameplay is very fun and entertaining. SCORE=9
Replayablity=Like most wrestling games this game has tons of replayablity. Like I said before I've put in 50+ hours and I'm still loving every minute of it. SCORE=10
Buy/Rent=Well if you like wrestling or wrestling games then buy, if not then rent. But I'm telling you it desverves at least a rent.
Final Saying=It's a great game if you like wrestling(which I do). So what are you doing sitting there GO OUT AND BUY THIS GAME NOW.
