AFL Live 2004

Review by RockyStarPro

"A Game that was Fun some ways but mostly Boring."

Welcome to my review for the game AFL Live 2004. This is a game about Australian Rules football and it has all the 16 teams in the real league who battle it out for the Premiership Cup. You have Season Mode and you are one of the 16 teams and must try to win as many games as possible to earn a spot in the top 8 or 4 to progress to the Finals. There is also finals mode and that takes you and a team that you pick to the finals and fight it out for the Cup easier instead of Season Mode and there is also Mission mode and that is done by completing matches which require coming from behind. You can select a Fiction mission which has never happened and it was made up, a Non-Fiction mission who has happened in the past or you can make your own up by selecting how many points and the teams you want to be and the teams you want to vs.

The graphics in this game is just about bad because on some players for example Joe Misiti, he has orange hair and a fat body which really ruined the looking of a game that was expected to be popular in Australia. There is no exception in the background for the stadium as it looks realistic from the year of Football this game was made. So at the end for the graphics it is good and a little bit bad when it comes to player graphics that are glitched by either weight, hair color or face color because some players don't have the same face color from the real League.

The game play in this game is shocking because it is too boring and is way too easy because you can smash teams by as much as 180 points and the difficulty is not as much as a challenge and that ruined the game. This could have been improved by putting more difficulty levels and make the matches more realistic instead of having the forward or back leading in a race that you will automatically win or lose.

Rent or Buy:
I recommend doing neither of the options because this is a bad game of game play but a good one for graphics but still do not get this because the game play the best part of games is no where near expectations.

Thank you for reading my review for the game AFL Live 2004 for the Play Station 2.
