"Hey Koei has done it again.."

Intro: I loved Dynasty warriors 4 empires. It brought new elements to the series, it mixed strategy and hack and slash. Koei quickly realized that and of course made dynasty warriors 5 empires. Knowing Koei, this one should be almost identical to the first one with new stages and couple more characters. And that's exactly what I got.

Gameplay: No improvements whatsoever. Once again Koei added more stages, characters and policies but did not bother with the game mechanics at all. You start off by selecting a scenario, then you control a character and step by step you take over China. When its your turn, you can issue policies such as producing items, taking money from your people or recruiting soldiers. Once the battle starts its Dynasty warriors all over again. There is absolutely no difference between this and Dynasty warriors 5 or Extreme legends. Koei simply used the same exact engine. Once on the battle field there is no strategy. You just kill everybody, and that's it. The stupid AI does not help either. Anyway, my point is if you have played any dynasty warriors game you played this one.

Graphics- Did you like the graphics in DW5? DW4? Yes that's how they look in this one. Koei needs to improve the graphics. The environments are so bland. Your enemies all look the same! They need to put some variety in enemy design, I am sick of killing this guy for the ten thousands times. The slowdown is still present. Not as bad as in previous games but its still there.

Sound- Man the voice acting is horrible. I just can't express how bad it is. The music is okay though. But seriously Koei needs to work on this category too.

Value: The game is short, you can probably finish all six scenarios in under ten hours. There is lots of replay ability here, but the battles are repetitive. I wish Koei focused more on the strategy elements, because they are the real fun in the game.

Overall: Do not buy this game. It is a big waste of money, I love dynasty warriors series but Koei needs to improve the gameplay. Adding more content just won't do it for me anymore. I am sure you feel the same, if you have 4 or 5 warriors games. If you really want to try it, then rent it but just don't buy! I am telling you will regret it.
