Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Review by DeathIce

"I don't care if my hands hurt! I'll keep playing!"

Introduction :
Guitar Hero 3 is the 3rd sequel to the Guitar Hero series. All of the Guitar Hero games are music games. In my opinion, all of the Guitar Hero games are awesome. Although all Guitar Hero games are great, Guitar Hero 2 would be the best. This doesn't mean Guitar Hero 3 is bad. Guitar Hero 2 is just better than this slightly.

Graphics : 7/10
I gave graphics a 7/10 since the graphics aren't very good. I say this mostly because of the singer. They made the singer have a huge mouth, tiny eyes, and his hair makes him look weird. The rest are pretty good though.

Story : 7.5/10

Finally! A Guitar Hero game with a story! I think that the story is pretty good. I can't tell you what it is since it will spoil it for you, but I can tell what happens in the beginning. First, you see a newspaper ad saying that they need a guitarist for their band. Then, a person comes to your door since they like your music. The rest is for you to find out.

Game-play : 10/10

The game-play is flawless. It is just pure awesomeness. It won't sound as fun as you think it is. You might think it's boring just getting a plastic guitar and pressing colored fret buttons and pressing down a strum bar. You might think it's not fun. But, it's a lot more fun when you play a lot of songs. Once you get addicted to this game, it's really hard to stop playing. A few days ago, my hands were bleeding everywhere but I was still playing. I already noticed my hands were bleeding, but the game was so fun, I didn't want to stop.

Addictiveness : 10/10

It's really easy to get addicted to this game. Once you play a couple songs, You'll want to some more. After that, you'll get pretty good at this game. When that happens, you'll start playing a lot more. Then, you'll get addicted and won't stop playing. I've been playing the first Guitar Hero game and I've never gotten bored of it.

Multi-player : 10/10

It's really fun when you play with someone. When you play with someone, you can battle, face off against, or play cooperatively together. With battle, you can get lots of different battle powers such as amp overload, when your fretboard shakes and your notes blink, making it harder to play. In face off, you and someone play the same song. Both of you play together to the end of the song. The person who did better in the song wins. The last one is coop mode. This is where one of you play guitar or lead guitar. The other person would play bass and rhythm guitar. Coop mode has its own song list too! Also, you can unlock 6 other songs in the game if you play coop with someone. Playing multi-player is really fun and awesome.

Replay-ability : 9/10

Once you beat the game, you might think that you have nothing else to do. Are you sure? Did you beat all of the songs including bonus songs? Did you 5-star all of the songs? Have you bought everything in the store? If you haven't done these and you have nothing else to do, I suggest that you do these. When you quit, you might think about how fun the game is. When you do that, you might start playing again. Then when you start playing, you'll get addicted again and play non-stop.

Songs : 9/10

I like most of the songs in this game. Some of the songs are bad, but most of them are good. This game might not have the best song list in all Guitar Hero games, but it has some pretty good songs. Some great songs in Guitar Hero 3 are Sunshine of your Love by Cream, Rock you like a Hurricane by Scorpions, and Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses. These are just some good songs. Check a website for a full list of songs. You can also download more songs if you have Guitar Hero 3 on X -box 360

Price : 8/10

The game is a little pricey. Its around 40 or 50 US dollars for this game. Although it is a little pricey, it's worth the money. The game has awesome songs, great game-play, fun multi-player, and high replay-ability so it's definitely worth the price.

Difficulty : 7/10
If you haven't played this game, it may be a little hard for you in the beginning, but once you get really good at it, the game will get pretty easy. They made the songs a little easier than the other Guitar Hero games.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I gave this game a 9 out of 10 since this game isn't flawless, but it's really fun and good. You should definitely buy this game.
