Etna Mode

There is a hidden mode in Disgaea Portable called Etna mode. Normally you have to get this mode by going through the game and reading Etna's diary every chapter, but you can unlock it instantly by entering the following code during the title screen, with the pointer on "New Game." If you're successful, you'll hear Etna's voice.

Endings

Multiple Endings can be achieved by doing one of the following:

Unlockable	How to Unlock
Bad Ending	Defeat the Item God on the 100th floor of a legendary item.
Dark Assembly	Persuade by Force 100 times in the Dark Assembly
Etna Heroine	Kill 100 or more allies before Episode 5's Ice Queen Battle then choose to kill Maderas.
Flonne Tradegy	Kill 50 or more allies before Episode 3 and the Lavish Hall battle. Choose to Kill Hoggmeiser.
Good Ending	Beat the game without killing allies
Midboss Ending!	Lose to Midboss in your first encounter with him.
Overthrow Earth	Clear human world

Endings for Etna mode

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness includes the Etna mode, which is basically a twist to the story and features Etna as the main character. Below are several endings that can be unlocked in Etna mode.

Unlockable	How to Unlock
Beauty Tyrant Overlord Etna Ending	Pass the proposal for Alternate Netherworld and The Mysterious Seal in the Dark Assembly, then move on by defeating Priere, Marjoly and lastly Baal.
Normal/Default Ending	Beat the story normally by finishing the last chapter in Etna mode.

Unlockable	How to Unlock
Angel	Female Cleric, Knight and Archer all at level 100 or higher.
Archer	Level 3 or higher in Bow Weapon Mastery.
EDF Soilder	Level 30 or higher Gun Weapon Mastery.
Galaxy Mage	Level a Prism Mage to Level 50.
Galaxy Skull	Level a Prism Skull to Level 50.
Knight	Female Warrior and Female Mage each at level 10 or higher
Majin	Male Warrior, Brawler, Ninja, Rogue and Scout all at level 200 or higher.
Ninja	Male Fighter and Male Warrior with a total level of 10 or higher.
Prism Mage	Level a Star Mage to Level 35.
Prism Skull	Level a Star Skull to Level 35.
Rogue	Both Fighter and Warrior, Males or Females, each at level 5 or higher.
Ronin	Female Warrior and Female Fighter with a total level of 10 or higher.
Scout	2 Fighters/Warriors, Males or Females, each at level 5 or higher.
Star Mage	Get 1 Fire,Ice and Wind Mage and level all 3 of them to level 5.

Easter Eggs

Zetta, Adell & Rozalin

You can fight these three characters in the game however you won't be able to get them, here's how:

Zetta-(Makai Kingdom) Max the 'more stronger enemies' bill then talk to the gate keeper. She will say something about the stellar graveyard that is something powerful is going on there. then head to the promidial soup at the stellar graveyard. Watch the scene, after fight your way through him. His level is actually 9999, but with three level 100 super robo suit and any super weapon, this will be a peice of cake.

Adell-(Disgaea 2) Finish Cave of Ordeal, when you reach demonhall mirror, fight all enemies in there. The enemies will keep on changing and actually stronger. After fighting a sereis of battle, the next time you go in to the demonhall mirror, there will be a scene. It's Adell!! this battle will actually be easy except for the geo symbols, just destroy them with a dimension slash and it will all be easy.

Rozalin-(Disgaea 2) After you fight Adell, go into the demonhall mirror once more, there will be a scene agian. This time you will fight her but with Adell. This battle is of course harder because now they are two of them you will be fighting. Use the same strategy when you fought with Adell.

Secrets

Abusing the hospital

This can be done at any time: Get any character, purchase or get equips/weapons that add HP (Health) and make sure you have a good amound of money. Equip, then un-equip the chosen items, and re-equip them again. After doing so, the selected character will end up with it's original HP and have the MAX HP from the equipment boost. If you can see, there is missing HP. Go to the hospital, pay the person to heal your character, and it will add HP Points into the total. Redo these steps and get your points in the hospital higher and higher. Eventually, the hospital rewards you with an item for the amount of points recieved. (This cheat is able to work with HP, SP and Deaths. HP = HP Equips, SP = SP Equips, Deaths = All-around statted item). When you get your reward, add it or swap it with another HP equip that is lower statted. Eventually, you'll be able to recieve equips that add much needed Health, SP or stats.

Uncovering Etna's Room

In order to open Etna's Room, you must find two secret button's in Laharl's Castle. The first is found behind the Throne and the second is found inside the Skull that is seated on the RosenQueen's Store Counter. Once you have pressed these two buttons, go to the room where Longinus, Ghoss, a prinny, and Gargo hang out. Press X in the corner behind the prinny to uncover the door.
